Our story starts in the twilight of 2019. MMMK, a trio forged by ambition of DON ACIC, DON DANCIC, and MGMK dreamed of ruling the Balkan Mobile Legends scene. Like many hopefuls, they faced fierce competition and the challenge of building a reliable team. Chemistry took time, but the greatest hurdle was simply survival in a competitive environment where loyalty was scarce.
Everything changed when a player named Djovani_221 entered the picture. His gameplay, especially with Fanny, was nothing short of mesmerizing. From rivals to allies, Djovani and MGMK pushed forward with relentless training. In late 2020, the seeds of something bigger were planted.
The Birth of the Dark Shamans
December 20th, 2020, was a turning point. Djovani introduced the name that would echo among Balkan MLBB fans for years: TheDarkShamans. That night, he crafted their emblem, a symbol destined to become iconic. Early 2021 saw the official formation of TDS, but as with many young teams, internal clashes and egos threatened to break them apart.
Criticism around content creation distractions almost tore the team asunder. Players left, but Djovani and MGMK remained. Soon after, fresh recruits joined, forging bonds in fire: DON ACIC returned, along with RetributioN, Baki, DareDevil, Domacin, Vidikovac, Skipper, Dimitar15k, and Dexter. Together, they sparked a golden era between May and July 2021.
May 1: First MCL win.
May 8: Victory followed swiftly.
May 29: Another triumphant moment.
TDS was unstoppable, climbing high and capturing the hearts of fans. By July, they stormed the Balkan Tournament, finishing a close second to Cyberwolves Platinum a loss that fueled their hunger rather than extinguishing it.
Defeat, Silence, and the Weight of Shadows
The inevitable rematch was devastating: a rapid six-minute defeat that stunned the community and plunged fans into silence and heartbreak. Many couldn’t watch their heroes crumble. But true warriors don’t disappear into the darkness.
Although TDS regrouped, internal strife deepened. By August 2021, the squad disbanded, leaving behind only whispers and memories. Yet their name endured beyond the Balkans, inspiring teams in the Philippines and Indonesia, planting seeds of legacy across Asia.
2024: Lights Flicker, Then Blaze
For three years, TDS lay dormant quiet but not forgotten. The spark reignited early in 2024 when Skipper launched a new Mobile Legends Discord server. Slowly, old allies reappeared, members returned, and a phone call was made to destiny.
November 2024 saw a quiet but undeniable rebirth. MGMK and Hawkeye returned with new vigor. A viral video, 5v5 challenges, and fierce scrims signaled the end of the silence. TheDarkShamans were back.
The New Dawn: Legacy Reborn
With their comeback in December 2024 and January 2025, TDS swept scrims clean, electrifying fans. Clips of Hawkeye, Xin, and Terazoid zoomed around YouTube, stoking excitement throughout the Balkan MLBB scene. Their mark was clear: legends don’t just fade, they evolve.
By early 2025, with the original heroes stepping back into mentorship roles, TDS transitioned from a mere team into a movement. Their story is a testament to grit, camaraderie, and the undying spirit of competition.
